Delivers to the inventory beside it. Tier 1: a chest gets only what it already holds (an empty chest gets nothing); a machine gets whatever it accepts.
Placed under a block of soil it hangs and feeds the block below through its top (e.g. a furnace’s smelting slot). A strand and a white patch show which inventory it serves.
