Sonocrystallizer

Grows crystals in a bath. Build a box of still water (1–3 inside each way) and wall every face with Sonoluminescent Glass, one Sonocrystallizer head and at least one Crystallizer Transducer. Edges and corners can be anything. Ultrasound comes to the transducers along Waveguides.

Sonocrystallizer 3×3×3

Drag to turn · wheel to zoom · floors count from the bottom; on the floor maps north is up.

The smallest: one block of water, so one crystal at a time. Edges and corners can be anything. Feed the transducer with a waveguide; more water (up to 3×3×3 inside) holds more crystals.

Put a seed and a solute in the head (the solute decides which crystal a seed grows). Each transducer grows one crystal on a wall (20 W each, in the normal gear): it sets the seed, then grows through four stages, each fed one solute, and the ripe crystal goes to the head’s output. Every crystal needs a line of at least its kilohertz; a higher gear grows faster.

  • Resonant Crystal: amethyst + resonant blend, ≥ 45 kHz (for the furnace III)
  • Amethyst: shard + amethyst dust, ≥ 30 kHz
  • Quartz: quartz + sand, ≥ 60 kHz
