3. Catching Power

Put a Resonator two blocks from the drumcap. It only hears its own note, so tune it: sneak + right click it with the fork set to the drumcap’s note, or scroll it there. Look at it with the detector: it says how many watts a machine would get there, or which note to tune to.

Closer is stronger: within two blocks a machine takes the whole source, four blocks away a quarter. Walls of wool or mycelium dampen; amethyst and copper carry sound well.
