Tuning
Tuning is always done sneaking:
- Amethyst shard: a semitone up; past B5 it wraps to C3.
- Flint: +5 cents.
- Honeycomb: -5 cents (±50).
- Hand Tuning Fork: exactly its own pitch.
Without sneaking the tools are ordinary items.
A receiver answers only near its own note: a semitone off gives under a fifth of the power. Two sources a few cents apart make beats: the power and the hum pulse. Tune until the pulsing stops.
Mouse wheel: hold a Hand Tuning Fork, sneak, look at any tunable block and scroll. A notch is a semitone up or down (on a geophone, ultrasound receiver or furnace: a step of its band); with Ctrl held, 5 cents. Without the fork the wheel switches the hotbar as usual.
Click a machine or converter with it to fit it. You pick the note; every two seconds the machine sets its own cents to the strongest source within half a semitone. Sneak + empty hand takes it out; it drops when the machine is broken.
