Biomass and Upkeep

Traits up to the average are free. Stronger ones cost biomass every minute: 10 for level 3, 30 for level 4, for the sporangium and every fruiting body and intake it serves. Thrift cuts that, and so do water within 2 blocks and darkness (each halves it).

The sporangium stores 1000 biomass: feed it compostables by hand, hopper, a fruiting body or a glutton. Without biomass it starves: every costly trait of the network works at the average until fed.
